Kim Pease, Partner and founding member of the team, brings energy and experience to the team. Kim is an avid runner – having completed more than 17 marathons including Boston, New York and Chicago as well as running in the oldest marathon in the world – Comrades Marathon in South Africa (actually 56 miles) in May, 2016. When not working you will often find her on the trails with her loyal running companion, Willy her chocolate lab.
Kim is a member of the CBRealty “Elite” group and consistently named in the TOP 50 Agents for Coldwell Banker Realty. She has been secretary and treasurer of the Minneapolis Association of Realtors Board of Directors and a full time Realtor since 1989. Kim has owned four different homes in the Cedar Lake area she loves and currently lives on Libbs Lake in the Lake Minnetonka neighborhood.
Our tagline “People, Houses and Enthusiasm” is more than a catchy phrase – it represents how we approach our work and why we do what we do. The people, our clients, has been our focus since the beginning. Kim’s goal was to build a team on client relationships not transactions – and her contagious enthusiam for the business is still just as present as it was 32 years ago.
Interesting Tidbit: The 2nd house Kim and her husband Rick (see below) purchased had multiple offers. The seller was in his 80’s and had a 3-year-old dog for which he had not found a home. Kim and Rick requested to let the dog, Gracie, stay in the house in their offer. They got the house! Gracie ended up being a special part of their lives until she passed away 11 years later. They bought a wonderful dog that came with a house.
Marcy Libby, Partner, originally from Wisconsin and a dual-citizen of Canada and the U.S., also has a passion for running and biking (imagine that) and brings more than 16 years of real estate experience to the PeaseLibby Team. While continuously striving for balance in work-life-family (she’s got three children, is among top producing teams at Coldwell Banker Realty, and still makes time to travel and go on dates with her husband) Marcy truly loves being a realtor and knowing that she has helped someone through a very important process. Marcy has a knack for digging into market trends and being in the thick of the local real estate industry. Her extensive experience with relocating clients is a tremendous asset to the team. So is her affection for bakeries! A current Edina resident and former teacher by trade, Marcy offers our clients much firsthand knowledge about the buying and selling process, and school districts in the area.
Interesting facts: Marcy loves watching the Packers! When Marcy was in second grade she had a short-lived career as a recording artist on a Christmas album. She and her two siblings have the same exact age differences as her three children, the same order in gender, and she and her mom were the same ages for the births of their children!
Kim Hoffman, Client Relations/Marketing Manager joined The PeaseLibby Team in December of 2019. She is certainly no stranger to the team as she and her husband Tom are past clients and have gone through the process several times throughout the years. From living in an old home in the St. Louis Park neighborhood of Fern Hill to having the opportunity to build a new home in the Morningside neighborhood of Edina, she is well versed in the incredible transition moving really is! Also, coincidentally her husband worked in Residential Real Estate for Coldwell Banker Realty for nearly 9 years and had the pleasure of working closely with Kim Pease on many transactions.
Kim is thrilled to be working with the team assisting in all marketing needs, office detail, staging and client support. Her past experiences in careers such as social work, photography, design services and retail provide the foundation for a fresh partnership. She brings to the table a fun energy with great inter-personal skills, creativity and an eye on the market from a consumer perspective. Kim has two teenage children and one awesome spirited Labradoodle named Enzo! She also enjoys running and yoga (this must have been criteria for the job ;-).
Interesting facts: Kim attended the Floral Design school at Koehler and Dramm in Minneapolis and loves making arrangements for her home and for others.
Rick Hoff (right) and Ben Town (left), our team handymen, are a great resource to our buyers and sellers. From minor to not-so-minor repairs or improvements, Rick and Ben can provide a skilled hand to get your property ready for showings, take care of inspection items, or help you make that new house just the way you want it.
Rick and Kim seem to gravitate toward houses in their hobbies. They have renovated numerous properties and currently live in one that they fixed up themselves. They have always believed that any renovations they made should help to make their home more livable for them – not just better for re-sale value. Case-in-point: none of their homes have ever had more than two bedrooms. They love to have ample space for people to gather (including their 17 nieces and nephews who live nearby).
Interesting factoid: the 3rd house Kim and Rick bought had multiple offers. The sellers ended up including their boat in the purchase and Rick and Kim still live in that Libbs Lake house on the most eastern bay of Lake Minnetonka.
